Anderson benefits from having extensive CSX rail lines across the City.  Not only many of Anderson's industrial properties are rail-served, twp Intermodal yards are located within 50 miles of Anderson, allowing companies to transport their raw materials and goods across the country very quickly and efficiently.  Indiana is also home to three ports on the Ohio River and Lake Michigan.
